What is Rubber Extrusion?
Rubber extrusion is a manufacturing process used to produce continuous rubber products with a consistent cross-sectional profile.
During the process, a prepared rubber compound is continuously fed into an extrusion machine and formed through a specially designed die. The die determines the shape and dimensions of the finished profile.
After extrusion, the material undergoes curing or vulcanization to develop its required physical and mechanical properties. The finished profile can then be cooled, cut, joined or further processed according to the customer's requirements.
This process is particularly suitable for applications requiring continuous lengths of rubber products, including tubing, sealing profiles, gaskets, strips, channels and other custom-shaped components.
